Our Team

Pendlebury Care Homes places a strong focus on recruiting, training, retaining and developing am experienced and skilled team. The staff at Pendlebury Care Homes are highly trained to deliver the right support and care to our residents. We recruit people with the right attitude and enthusiasm to make a difference, which underpins the delivery of a high quality service.

We achieve this by :

  • Annual mandatory refresher programme
  • Additional specialist training programmes where needed
  • Regular supervision and annual appraisals of performance
  • Fostering a positive culture that actively encourages continuous learning and development

Care staff have completed qualifications and all have a minimum of NVQ 2 or are working towards a diploma on the new QCF framework. All other staff are encouraged to partake in work related training and qualifications.

Zoe Littlewood

Zoe Littlewood - Home Manager

Zoe joins the team at Pendlebury Court with over 11 years experience in the care sector.

Zoe is passionate about delivering excellent person centred care and has experience with dementia services.

Zoe will be working on accreditation with Derbyshire for the new Dementia Standards and the Dignity and Respect Award With the introduction of the Dementia Standards in care Homes, Zoe will be focusing on ensuring that all aspects of service delivery comply with the new standards.

Zoe is always on hand for advice or to answer any questions.




Lesley Caudwell

Lesley Caudwell - Laundry Assistant

Lesley has worked at Pendlebury Court for many years and her role is very important to ensure the Home runs smoothly.

Lesley is also a Dementia Friend, helping people in her local community with dementia via social media groups.

Lesley also has to have a good memory for matching clothes ( most clothes are named ) but there are always those odd socks to match up !



Ray Cousins - Maintenance

Ray is our maintenance man that has an amazing "Can Do" approach to all tasks. He is very organised and likes to ensure all tasks are completed properly. Ray also looks after our service contractors and has built a positive rapport with local trade suppliers of goods.

With every day bringing a whole new challenge, Ray also looks after the fire testing, legionella checks, emergency lighting, internal and external areas and small deorating jobs. He keeps a check on the recycling bins to make sure we are doing our bit for the environment.



Linda Ratcliffe– Senior Care Assistant

Linda works on days as a senior care assistant. Linda likes to be organised and makes sure that everyone has a settled night and that all her jobs are complete. Linda has over 20 years experience in health and social care and is currently undertaking her Team Leader qualification as the next step on her career path.





Joanne Bevins

Joanne Bevins - Care Assistant Nights

Joanne joined the team in 2015 as a care assistant on nights and a role that she thoroughly enjoys. Joanne has previously worked as a communtiy support worker but prefers the residential aspect of care as she gets to see the same residents each night and is able to build their trust through positive working and support.

Joanne enjoys a sing song with the residents when she comes on shift and supports the residents to have a restful night's sleep.




Shirley Rogers

Shirley Rogers - Care Assistant Days

Shirley is employed as a care assistant on days. Shirley always gives 100% in her role and is a very caring person. Shirley has just enrolled on her Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care which she is really looking forward to doing. Shirley enjoys the variety of the role at Pendlebury Court and has a great rapport with residents and families alike.






"We were really anxious before Mum came to the home but we needn't have worried as she is in good hands. The staff took the time to explain everything to us, we didn't feel rushed to make a decision and we were shown round the home."
